ABOUT OFFCOURSE

Built by someone who's been exactly where you are, and made it through to the other side.

A Doctor of Physical Therapy who couldn't break 90 despite being a D1 athlete — until he fixed his body first, and the swing followed.

HOW OFFCOURSE STARTED

From D1 athlete who couldn't break 90 to helping golfers fix what lessons and swing tips can't.

I played contact sports growing up and Lacrosse at the Division 1 level — the kind of sports where your body takes a beating. When I stopped competing, I figured golf would be easy. I was an athlete. I was in shape. Shooting scratch seemed like just a matter of time.

Instead, I got worse the harder I tried. My lower back was constantly on fire. My left hip felt locked up. No matter how many swing tips I tried or lessons I took, I couldn't get my body to do what I was asking of it.

That's when it hit me: years of contact sports had left me with compensations that were destroying my swing. I wasn't bad at golf. My body just couldn't support the swing I was trying to build.

So I became obsessed with fixing it. I went back to school, became a Doctor of Physical Therapy, got TPI certified, and spent years rebuilding my own body and learning to play off scratch. That process — identifying physical limits, restoring mobility, building strength, and learning to sequence in the right order — became the foundation for OffCourse.

For nearly a decade now, I've worked with golfers who hit the same wall I did. Weekend warriors trying to break 80. Serious players chasing scratch. Golfers dealing with pain, stiffness, and swings that fall apart under pressure. The bottom line is always the same: their bodies can't deliver what their swing requires.

OffCourse exists to fix that — systematically.

What makes OffCourse different?

Most golf fitness is a mash-up of random exercises that look “golf-ish”, crossfit workouts branded as golf-specific, or a bodybuilding routine a golf-influencer uses to look good on the beach.

OffCourse is founded on the principles of human movement — built on a Doctorate level understanding of how the body is designed to rotate and work together. Backed in science, grounded in real experience with real golfers, and objectively proven to move the needle towards better golf. We don’t care how it looks, we care how it transforms your swing.

OffCourse is different because it's built on these 4 principles:
Compensations are systemic, not isolated

Your body functions as a system. When parts of the system are restricted, the rest of the body adapts and compensates to work around the limitation. You can't fix one area and expect the whole swing to change. OffCourse addresses the entire compensation pattern — not just the symptom.

Your body has to change in the right order

You can't build strength on top of a weak foundation. You can't develop speed without stability. Reset the foundation first. Build mobility and strength second. Optimize for speed and consistency last. That's not just my opinion — it's how the golfers I work with every day actually get better.

The body and golf swing are 3-Dimensional

Yet everyone gets caught up on rotation. OffCourse targets the exact mobility demands, sequencing patterns, and strength requirements of an efficient golf swing. Accounting for all planes of motion in the order at which they occur. It's not "fitness for golfers." It's training that fixes the physical limitations driving your swing faults, you just happen to burn calories and gain muscle along the way.

Control in they gym = Freedom on the course

Most people don’t realize how in-tune professional golfers are with their bodies. They can instantly feel exactly where they hit the ball on the club face, and exactly where things went wrong on bad swings. However, they are not superhuman. They simply have way more practice developing their skill, a.k.a. muscle memory. The good news is that anyone can learn to do this in the gym, that’s why OffCourse starts with small isolated movements so you can learn to feel and control one piece of your swing pattern at a time, then gradually add pieces together until your body is working as one cohesive unit. Then when you are swinging, you’ll get feedback from your body that is detailed and reliable, and making swing changes are quick and easy.

This is what a decade of clinical work with golfers — combined with my own experience rebuilding a broken body — has taught me.
