HOW OFFCOURSE STARTED
From unable to break 90 to scratch, and now I'm showing every golfer how to do the same.
I grew up playing sports and eventually D1 Lacrosse. When that was over, I was fit, competitive, and figured golf would come easy. It didn't. Years of contact sports left my body riddled with injuries and compensations, and they were destroying my swing. My back was on fire. My hips felt locked. The harder I tried, the worse I played.
I did everything golfers do: lessons, the range, new clubs. Nothing moved the needle. So I went back to what I knew: biomechanics. I put my DPT degree to work, got TPI certified, and spent years learning how to rebuild my own body and swing from the ground up. That process took me from a guy who couldn't break 90 to playing off scratch.
I took that same protocol into my NYC clinical practice and refined it with golfers of different ability levels, body types, and injury histories. They all had the same underlying problem: their bodies couldn't deliver what their swing required. OffCourse exists to fix that.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Why it's called OffCourse.
The real work happens off the course. Preparing your body, perfecting your swing, it all happens well before you step onto the golf course. There are endless variables in the game of golf, your body shouldn't be one of them.
When you're on the course, you should focus on playing golf, not golf swing.
HOW WE THINK ABOUT THE TRAINING
The beliefs behind the Method.
Every system needs a framework. These core values are why the Method works when everything else hasn't.
Your body functions as a system, not a collection of parts.
When one area is restricted, the rest of the body compensates around it. You can't address one problem without understanding what's driving it and how it affects the entire system.
Order beats effort.
You can't build strength on a crumbling foundation or develop speed without the stability to direct it. Reset the foundation before you build. Build strength before you chase speed.
The body is capable of fixing itself through exercise.
In fact, its the only way. True change comes from the body learning to correct itself, not external forces (massage, training aids etc.) that help for a short time but fail to change the baseline.
Your swing pattern is a reflection of your physical limits.
The way you move in your swing isn't random, it's your body's best solution given its current restrictions. Remove the restrictions and the bad habits disappear.
